Our picture this month takes us to the intersection of Carr Road and the Old Lincoln Highway (old route 30) where the Tracy Garage and overnight Cabins once stood. Walter Tracy’s parents owned the businesses and He kindly donated our picture. We can see that they sold Shell gasoline out of the pumps and at least 4 cabins are in view in this picture (9 can be seen in the uncropped version). A large Thermometer hangs on the right side of the office advertising Mail Pouch tobacco and a bench is between both doors for a person to sit while the gas is pumped. Another bench is located by one of the cabins presumably to provide a cooler place to watch the world go by on the brick highway.
