The New Year gives a person a chance to reflect on the past as we prepare for the future and what better way to reflect is with an aerial photo of Apple Creek taken in 1970. We can see all of the growth that has occurred along Mill Street in the way of houses being built and improvements at the park and baseball diamond. We can wonder what happened to the once thriving camper business that was Shasta Motor homes. I miss the old building that housed Jeff Carson’s Drug store and I am happy to have the new post office/Dollar General store and Harvest Market store.
